I may be a little stupid sometimes (my wife would say all the time!!) but I am having trouble "getting to grips" with Nokia Flashing.

I have a 6600 which I am experimenting with and am trying to flash the handset with the correct MCU and PPM files.

How do I differentiate between these files when I have finally found them?

for example: I (using the Twister box and DCTx Tools v1.3_j by Sarasoft) flashed this 6600 with the file NHL103421.C3 (via PPM Flash)and now the phone boots up into Chinese (I think). :dope:

Can I get a dialogue going with someone who can get me started with Flashing Nokia handsets?

Thanks in advance for putting up with a "newbie".

An 6600 is a synbian phone these use differant file sytem than other nokias.

all you do is flash C1 as mcu then flash 01.02.03 etc as ppm

other nokia the mcu file is the one with "0" on the end and ppm is a,b,c,d etc then the cnt file is the one containing *ucp* in it and the leeter it ends with must be same as the ppm

hope this helps you
