View Full Version : K700i debranding problem

Hi,

I've brought a log-in to debrand my SE K700i, but have hit what I hope is a minor problem.

As per the instructions on this site I've downloaded the latest client and updated it via the info button.

I've then selected the following two files to download (again, as per instructions):

Firmware: K700_R2L001_Zone_1_EU_EMEA_USA.K7S
Default language: K700_R2L001_EU1_EN_PT_ES_FR.K7D

I've then follows the instructions to start flashing the phone with the first file. This failed with a 0X00 error message. Unfortunately I can't be precise on the error message as the system then crashed before I had a chance to note it.

Now I can't power on my phone, and can't get the programme to recognise that I've got my phone attached when it asks me to press the power button to start the flashing (not to mention the software still crashes frequently!)

Please advise how to resolve this as I'm now left with what seems to be a dead phone!

Thanks for any advice.

Phil

Edit: Just managed to get the system to recognise the phone and got the following error 0x002A20

Am I right in thinking this is a power issue?

if you bought the cable and log from us, send us your phone and we will sort it all out no problem

The log came from you, but I brought the cable elsewhere.

Does that mean there's no help you're willing to offer me?

Thanks,

Phil

Edit: Just realised that the above could seem rude. Wasn't the intention. Just wondering if the fact you're offering to sort the phone out means there's nothing I can do using the software to get the phone back to working order?

Cheers,

Phil

was gonna say serves you right for buying the cable elsewhere, but that wouldn't help things much now would it ?????

it needs a bit more expert kit to sort it

send the phone to us and we will fix it :goodjob:

Hi,

Thanks for the offer to sort the phone by post. Found the address to send it to, but just want to clarify how much this is likely to cost me.

I'm happy to pay the cost of posting the phone back to me, but do you need any other money?

Could you let me know how much to include a cheque for?

Thanks for your attention,

Phil
