I have recently upgraded from the Nokia 7250 to a Samsung E700.

In order to connect both via infa red i purchased an infa red port from this site: http://www.freepolyringtones.co.uk/e700.htm (and no i don't work for the site, just found it to work no problems with both phones!!!)

I have also downloaded the respective software for each phone, that easy studio for my samsung and the nokia software for that.

Now my problem - is it possible to dowload the pictures through the nokia software and put them on to my samsung?

Another problem i am having with the nokia software, if i wasnt able to take photos and ringtones etc from there to the samsung that wouldnt be a huge problem just as long as i could keep the pictures however all i have been able to work out is backing up the phone, or copying the data without being able to access it all as you can with easy studio for the samsung. I guess this is just me being stupid because surely nokias pc suite is going to be better than easy studio from samsung seeing as most other software from nokia is? Fact is i just can't work out how to keep the pictures off of the 7250.

A related problem is that i found a quality ring tone for my 7250 and want to put it on my smasung, is this at all possible!?

Any help much appreciated!

Question 1 : ALL Graphic,s can be taken from 1 fone to the other if they are Jpeg. Gif. images you save the pictures to your computer then tran,s them to you samsung "hope you get what i am saying as i do loss myself somtimes"

Question 2 : ringtones on nokia,s are saved as .mid file,s on Samsung,s they are saved as MMF files so either 1 you will need to convert them "read info in the samsung thread about .mid to MMF" or to as you are a member you can goto the poly Exchange for samsung,s and see if the tones you want are in there

Hope this helps ANDY

Thanks for your help, took me a while to get around to trying to do anything with it though! Can't seem to find the thread you were talking about, i am facing that problem right now, managed to get the tone from my nokia, it didn't save as a .mid (it just saved as a file with no program that would open it - if that makes any sense?).

Anyway how do i go about making that file a 'proper' mmf file? I cheated and tried just chaging the file extension but no such luck.

Hope somebody can help, its getting stupid now but i dont want to have to give in!

You cannot make it a .mmf file as the file extension is not the problem the problem is .mid tones are not the same a a .mmf you have to run the .mid file through a chinese Prog that convert,s it to a .mmf as they are not TRUE .mid files if you send a PM to mark he will be able to point you into the thread for the .mid to .mmf converter Prog

hope this help,s ANDY
