hi people im trying to unlock a motorola v3rohs
i tried the testpoint using a rocker dongle and i get error:

unknown flash chip 0000 0000

sometimes the code changes please help

boot loader 0A.52.

bootloader a.52 requires testpoints to unlock

a.30 is ok to do without tp

also a good idea to get a tp box (http://www.fonefunshop.co.uk/Unlocking/testpoint.htm) too, makes it easier to power phone while in bits, if you use battery like the demo video on magic button page, you are dicing with death, as if you silp with battery while software is sending the boot, you will kill it

its not fair though when i spend £500 on the equipment i thought all i need to do this with and i havent very disapointed,

thats the problem with the unlocking game
you always need new equipment
cant unlock everything with the hardware u have
thats why theres always new unlockers coming out
since my first unlocker data 1
i think ive spent about 4 grand keeping up to date

i never try unlocking my mobile

i tried it once wiyth my nokia years ago and failed 3 times

so my option be in future is get a shop do it for money and it dosnt cost that much get it done

i no but the stuff i brought was a few weeks ago from this site the £500 starter pack and its not as if the v3rohs are old phones, and with the starter kit you get a rocker dongle which dose samsungs so why the nspro? plus ive noticed with the jaf box and extra cables i got most are faulty and they dont work propperly i had to take 3 apart and resolder :(

they are old phones, i agree, but what you dont realise is that v3r (newer ones) have newer bootloaders and the developers of any/all motorola tools can handle the older bootloaders, but cannot direct unlockl a.52 no matter how much you spend. stop whining and get on with the job, or dont unlock a.52 bootloaders if you dont want to do the extra work needed, the choice is yours


same goes for if you have a problem with any hardware, you need to let us know so we can exchange etc.

but no one told me any of this when i brought it, anyone else would be the same £500 is alot of money to my shop and people are so nice when they want you to spend the money,

what do you want?

ive told you this, you will find many handsets that require testpoints to do the job, and a lot more that dont need tp

as time moves on your tools will receive free updates to overcome these obsticles, infact since you bought rocker they have added more bootloader support to enable a lot of k1 versions unlock without tp, so you cant moan too much.

remember, you have the best tools out there, and no one else is unlocking these bootloaders without accessing tp's.

i dont want to upset or agrue, im trying to point you in the right direction, if 1 phone needs a bit more work to unlock other than just pressing a button, then you have to be prepared to do this work, or simply dont unlock it and move on

prime example: nokia bb5 box unlocks n80's, but you and many others wont attempt it because the testpints are very difficult to do as they are covered in resin and need an infrared station to melt the resin to enable access. a cheap infrs red station costs £500 but people dont moan about that when they buy a bb5 box, they simply move on and unlock easier /other models that dont requirew the extra work.

bottom line is this, if you want to make the most of your tools, then you have to do more work on certain phones, just because you can buy extra equpment top make the work easier isnt being un fair as you state, its buying to suit your needs.

remember you purchased a "starter pack" not a complete unlocking shop with all the tools available. you need to build on what you have to enable you to excell in your proffession
