Ok so my dad has left Vodafone to go to O2 because Vodafone failed to fix the problem with him not being able to receive incoming calls. If i call his old phone from either of mine, the call gets dropped. If i call it from our BT landline, all i hear is the engaged tone. Numerous calls to Vodafone havent helped so he told them i'm moving to O2 and he did just that. It just suddenly stopped accepting incoming calls and the phone the sim is in and another one i had both dont receive calls with that sim. And so that has determined its the sim or a network issue which as i said before they failed to fix. Been nearly 3 weeks its been like it. But just before this all happened, Vodafone started giving him the £15 text pack for free and continue to do so. Why?! He has given me the phone to use up the free texts on on account of the sim is useless for incoming calls now and the phone only works on Vodafone anyway. Has anyone else received this text pack for free? And i will add that the sim is pay as you talk.

Cant receive calls, can make, can send and receive texts. No idea why that is and whats even more confusing is why are they applying this text pack for free every 30 days, we dont even have to top up and they keep resetting it back to 500 free texts when it runs out!

Are you sure this is related to the text pack? I've never heard of that happening before. It's likely that it's just a coincedence that this started to happen around the time of the text pack being added. Have you spoken to their technical department? Perhaps they need to check for incoming call bars on your number or even send a new SIM out.

It's worth a try I suppose to get it working again. Try contacting them on their website by clicking on their Vodafone contact us form (https://online.vodafone.co.uk/dispatch/Portal/appmanager/vodafone/wrp?_nfpb=true&_pageLabel=Page_Help_ContactUs&pageID=PCU_0002). Sometimes e-mails gets a quicker more in depth reply, they are pretty good like that.
