Message Confirmation

Hi, My wife is on O2 pay as you go. Every time she sends a text message, she receives a confirmation message back from O2.

Is there anyway this can be removed as although she doesn't pay for this confirmation, it is very annoying.

Yeah there is, all you have to do is call them and they will switch it off there end only takes a few minutes.
You can also email o2 and they will turn it off that way aswell.

I appreciate the advice, but we did try that about 3 or 4 months ago and they told her that there was nothing they could do to prevent it.

I assume from what you tell me that they have changed the way it works now then.

I'll tell the missus and she can phone O2 again. Thanks very much.

prob got wrong end of stick but are you talking about delivery notifications? If yes you may be able to disable them from your phone...

Thanks everyone for your thoughts and help. I have now phoned O2 and explained the problem and they have removed the annoying notification message.

The message my wife was receiving was actually the update advising her of her credit balance after every text message was sent.

This has now been removed and there is peace and quiet from the phone - pity about the noise from the wife and kids!!!
