Hi all, I'm hoping someone can help me? If I try to send a text I get "message sending failed. No network support for messages" come up. Any ideas?

UK SMS Service Centre Numbers
Below is a list of the SMS Service Centre (SMSC) numbers for the main UK operators. The SMSC is stored on your phone or SIM, and is used to forward your outgoing text messages to the network operator. If your phone suddenly loses the ability to send a text message - it could be a problem with the SMSC number stored in your phone.
Check your mobile phone's "Message Settings" or "Message Options" entries, and look for "Message Centre" or "SMS Centre number". If you're having problems, try the phone's instruction book, or look for information online (such as the Nokia and Ericsson websites). If in doubt, contact your mobile phone network provider for help.

i had this problem when i got my N73e on contract, take it back to the store its a mess up with registration with the sim card. Took a week to get mine sorted!

hi bi have been having problems though i can make and receve calls and send texts i cant receve them since thusday so i contacted vodafone and this was there responce >>>>>

I've read your email and understand that you're facing problem with the receipt of the text messages on your phone. I do apologise for all the inconvenience caused to you. I can understand the urgency of getting the issue sorted. I'm here to assist you.
Mr. Hudson, please note that we were aware of this ongoing issue and the problem is now resolved. However, the customers in some area are still facing problems while receiving the text messages on their phones, although they are able to send the messages and make the calls.
I assure you that we are working to resolve this as a priority.
You may continue manually perform the following steps on your phone to find a stronger signal. This is easy to do though depending on the make and model of your phone; some of the menu options might be different. The steps are as follows:
Hard reset steps:
Switch off the phone
Remove the battery
Remove the SIM card
Wipe the SIM card with the cotton
After 2 minutes insert the SIM card in the phone
Insert the battery
Switch on the phone
Manual Roam Procedure:
Enter your phone ‘Menu’
Scroll to ‘Settings’
Enter ‘Settings’
Scroll to ‘Phone Settings’
Enter ‘Phone Settings’
Scroll to ‘Network/Operator Settings’
Select Manual
Select ‘Vodafone’
Once you perform the above steps on your phone then your number will be updated on our system and you will be able to receive the text messages on your phone.
