I asked o2 for these settings and they kindly sent them in an email to me i will configure my phone when i have a week off work lol look at this lot feel free to set yours up too let me know how long it takes you.

P.S These are pay monthly setting so pay n go may differ slightly

Thank you for emailing us about the POP3 settings for your Samsung D900.

POP3 (Post Office Protocol) is a phone feature and not a network feature. This means if you've any problems, we are unable to provide any support to fix the faults.

All steps must be completed to ensure the settings are correctly configured.

I've provided the POP3 settings for your Samsung D900.

Sending Options:

1. Press the Menu button (left soft key).
2. Highlight Messages and 'Select' (left soft key).
3. Highlight Settings and 'Select' (left soft key).
4. Highlight Emails and 'Select' (left soft key).
5. Highlight Sending options and 'Select' (left soft key).
6. Check that Send copy to self has no Tick (to remove press 'OK' Navi key).
7. Check that Request delivery receipt has no Tick (to remove press 'OK' Navi key).
8. Check that Request read receipt has no Tick (to remove press the Navi key).
9. Check that Priority is set at Normal. (Press Navi key right to change).
10. Check that Add signature has no Tick (to remove press 'OK' Navi key).
11. Press 'Save' (left soft key).

Receiving Options:

12. Highlight Receive options and 'Select' (left soft key).
13. Highlight Check interval and select Not used by pressing the Navi key right.
14. Highlight Send read receipt and select No by pressing the Navi key right.
15. Highlight Retrieve option and select Headers only or Normal, by pressing the Navi key right. (This is your/customer choice)
16. Highlight Delete option and select Immediately by pressing the Navi key right.
17. Highlight Download limit and select 300 KB by pressing the Navi key right.
18. Scroll to 'Keep in server' and check that Ticked (to add tick press 'OK' Navi key).
19. Press Save (left soft key).

Create POP3 account:
20. Highlight Email account and press select (left soft key).
21. Highlight Account settings and press select (left soft key).
22. Press 'Create' (left soft key)
23. Highlight Account name and enter your/customers email account name (this can be anything e.g. My email).
24. Press 'Options' (left soft key)
25. Highlight 'Next' and select (left soft key)
26. Highlight User name and enter your/customers user name (for o2 email users this will be their full email address).
27. Highlight Email address and enter your/customers email address.
28. Highlight 'Reply address' and enter your/customers email address.
29. Press 'Options' (left soft key)
30. Highlight and select 'Next' (left soft key).
31. Highlight SMTP server and enter smtp.o2.co.uk.
32. Highlight SMTP port and enter 25.
33. Highlight SMTP user ID and enter your/customers user ID (for o2 email users this will be their full email address).
34. Highlight 'SMTP password' and enter your/customers user password.
35. Highlight 'Secure connection (SMTP)' and check that not Ticked (to untick press 'OK' Navi key).
36. Highlight 'Retrieve server type' and press 'OK', highlight POP3 and select (left soft key).
37. Highlight POP3 server and enter server address (e.g. mail.o2.co.uk for O2 e-mail accounts), this would be supplied by your/customers Internet Service Provider.
38. Highlight POP3 port and enter 110.
39. Highlight 'Same ID and password' and check that Ticked (to add tick press 'OK' Navi key).
40. Highlight APOP login and check that it has no Tick (to remove press 'OK' Navi key).
41. Highlight Secure connection (POP3) and check that it has no Tick (to remove press 'OK' Navi key).
42. Press 'Options' and select (left soft key) 'Save'.
43. Press 'Back' once (right soft key)
44. Highlight 'Current account' and select (left soft key).
45. Highlight your new account and select (left soft key)
46. Press 'Back' once.

Email profile:

47. Highlight 'Email profile' and select (left soft key).
48. Highlight 'Profile settings' and select (left soft key).
49. Highlight a spare profile and select (left soft key).
50. Highlight 'Profile name' and enter 'O2 Email'.
51. Highlight 'APN' and enter 'mobile.o2.co.uk'.
52. Highlight Login ID and enter faster.
53. Highlight Password and enter password.
54. Highlight DNS1 and enter 193.113.200.200.
55. Highlight DNS2 and enter 193.113.200.201.
56. Press 'Save' (left soft key).
57. Press 'Back' once (right soft key).
58. Highlight 'Current profile' and select (left soft key).
59. Highlight new profile and select (left soft key)
60. Press 'Back' (right soft key) 5 time to get back to standby screen.

The POP3 Pay monthly settings are now complete.

Well it works i set up my o2 mail account no probs took me about 20 mins but i did forget my password and kept losing my place lol and i kept putting 02 instead of o2 so note this when entering o2 when needed use the letter o not the zero.

Cant say for sure as menu options may differ slightly from phone to phone but if you have a play around cant see it doing any harm just make sure you are pay monthly not pay & go but on emailing o2 last night got settings sent this morning ..

yeah either your NP or mobile website will have the settings most of the time
