ok ive searched high and low round the internet that would let you convert your mp3 rintones to wav then to mmf for free.

both softwares are very safe and are on a copyrighted site.

instructions on what to do


first of you will need

WSC-MA2-SMAF this software lets you convert a wav file into an mmf
please download the software from here mmf converter download (http://smaf-yamaha.com/tools/dl/WSC-MA2-SMAF-210-u.zip)
this has been packed in a zip file so please extract all info through desktop.
once extracted you should get a folder named WSC-MA2-SMAF-210-u
now download the mp3 to wav converter..yes this is freeware so you may wish to convert your mp3 to wav tones aswell its all one.

to download this software please download it here mp3 to wav download (http://www.filehog.com/softwarepile/simw7000.exe) you will include a programme called pando with this DO NOT WORRIE THIS IS NOT A SPYWARE PROGRAMME IT IS SAFE you may uninstall this safly when installing the mp3 to wav software programme although that is up to you.

whene you have downloaded the mp3 to wav converter please install it now.like i said above


once both are on the computer, what to do next is locate your free wav to mp3 converter this can normaly be located in your all programmes menu
named >> softwarepile - mp3wav - mp3 - wav <<

once programme is open you can now follow these steps for converting your tone into mmf.


1.open the software programme mp3-wav as stated above
2.once open,you will see an add file to your left
open this and locate your mp3 file
3. once open your mp3 will apear on a list located in the black box
4.now just hit the conver button and your done.


now that you have your wav ringtone you can now start with the 2nd step from the software.please note this is your mmf software

1. open the folder WSC-MA2-SMAF-210-u
2.once open 3 folders will apear open folder WSC-MA2
3.you will see a programme icon now named wscma2u
4. open this programme. you should have a small box appear
5. now locate your wav tone and drag it to the box (thats all)
6.it will come up with a title etc just press ok
7.and presto youve converted your first mmf rintone the free way


its always recommended that you save your wav tones to desktop as mmf tones will be directed to the same location

good job CocaCola
but it might be worth pointing out that alot of phones have restrictions on mmf file size so when you drag wav into yamaha you have the choice to select 8khz or 4khz (8 is selected as default) but if the mmf ends up being too big for your phone then you should try 4khz (wont be as loud)

so some wavs may need editing before converting to mmf...
