I have a number of mobile phones to recycle but in accordance with data protection act i need to be able to flash any personal information that may have been left on the phone from the previous user.
I need to know if it is better to use a software download to do this or to by a clip/box?
Please let me know
Cheers
Dave

it would all depend on what phone you have
if you just want to wipe the phone then just delete all information
by hand

thank you for your reply, we already have information re hand master reset but what if there is PUK code blocking access to the phone? that is why we are looking at software or boxes. As we have to make sure this information is not accessable by end user of phone?

sagem & Philips do by hand, if they are puk blocked, that is the sim, not the phone so change the sim cards and delete by hand
motorola, bestter to just flash them, get ultima box light for this
nokia same thing, get a jaf box
