VK530 No ring tone, only vibrate

Hi! Santa has just brought my daughter a VK 530 for Christmas and I cannot hear a sound when the phone is set to the ring or vibrate/ring mode. The handset will vibrate but nothing else...

It is not the * key as I have tried this and this does not resolve the problem.

I have tried to look for an answer in the threads but as yet have not seen it.

Dont know much about that phone, but try turning the volume up useing the up and down buttons on the side of the phone...

Thanks, but already gone through all of that. Doing that on this phone just changes the Keypad volume

have you tried playin different ringtones to make sure its not anything to do with the speaker

go into your profiles
and chage to ringing
make sure your profile volume is at max
save settings
then activate that profile

Thanks, tried going through all the ringtones on the phone but nothing. Tried new ringtones from the VK Website and still nothing. The keypad tones are clearly audiable and the start up melody can be heard so I belive the speaker is okay. The speaker volume is on maximum 100%.

I assume activating a profile is just selecting it.

When we recieved the phone last September I tried it and it did ring. I connected it to my PC to download more ringtones and since then nothing!

I have even reset the phone to factory settings...

Slightly different, press Menu. Scroll to “Sound”. Select “Incoming Call”. Scroll down to “Volume”. Press up or down to change the volume.

Failing that if looks to be a product / software fault. I'd recommend taking it back to the manufacturer or place of purchase (did you get it directly from Vodafone) to see if it's still covered by the warranty.
