d600 help

i have a d600 which in the last few weeks i cant use it is saying limited service its unlocked but wont take any sims apart from vodaphone any other just shows limited service it hasnt been turned off by orange as i have phoned and asked them .. it wont even accept a ornage sim card i have had it to a phone repair shop but he says it jhas been turned off bu ti will give u 40 pound for it i dont wana sell it as i use it for work .. any ideas would be apperciated.. also i ahve used phone for nearly a year since i got it ..so dont think it is locked not by orange who supplied it anyway

It sounds like it could be blocked or blacklisted as stolen, which means it is useless now

aint locked blacklisted as i have phoned orange where it came from and it isnt locked barred or anything even they dont knw what is wrong but why does it use voda no bother

only thing other rhan it being barred is that you or someone else has flashed the phone wrongly, this can happen if you flash a d600e with d600 software

one is quad band the other is tri band

may be if flashed with correct firmware it would fix it, if it doesent then is 100000% barred

I got a D500 Debranding pack from fonefunshop, and I get Limited Service messages on my D500...

our d500 pack has all settings in for all networks, so phone must be barred

it works with a vodaphone sim in cant make calls but can send and receive texts ..

then its deffinately barred, as this is exactly what happens with a voda sim

it will be same with t-mobile too

if you put orange or o2 card in it it will not register on the network and will display limited service

i reaLLY WISH PEOPLE WOULD READ FORUMS BEFORE BUYING A PHONE....THATS WHY THEY ARE HERE...ITS HINDSIGHT ON A STICK !!!
