Lg U880 Problem

hello

i paid and download the unlock software for the LG U880,

i followed the instruction's in the inclosed document very carfully
when the program had finished, my phone was unlocked to any network

the problem is that the signal shows full yet i carnt make calls or send txts or get my balance up it just say's service unavaliable, the phone won't even ring in, i asked my friend ring me and the LG was powered on full signal and it kept going to voice mail as if the phone was switched off. yet if i take the sim card out and pop it in my old phone it works ok????

whats happened to my PHONE???? as this has really frustrated me!

thanks for your replys, so basicly the phone before i got it was either stolen or ex contact that wasnt paid?

as i recived this phone off a so called mate, and he said that they had it on contract and they hadent paid it...

is there anything i can do with the phone now, apart from scream!!! lol
