Siemens A62 charging

If you have a Siemens A62 you'll be able to help me. When charging the phone when it's turned off is there a charging symbol to show it's charging? The one I've just bought doesn't show anything at all.

There should be a battery symbol in the top right hand corner. I know there is one on my spare S45

yes there is but for some reason its very faint
