SE Tool 3

Hi,

I have recently purchased an SE Tool 3 for unlocking Sony Ericssons. It is all installed ok, but when I try to unlock any phone in the software action box is says "OPEN COM port OK", and at the bottom just says "Press Power on Shortly!". The green progress bar does move but it never seems to do anything else, no matter how long i leave it.

Does anyone know what might be wrong???

only a short press on the power button
you dont want the phone to come on
its just for the ignition

Thanks, yes I have tried but with no joy. Do I need a 9 volt battery attached or just the phone battery as i have now.?

you can try it with a 9 v attached wont do any harm

i have exactly the same problem, can you help please.i have a k310 and if you only press the button a litle it just powers on.Thanks

This generally happens when you haven't configured the correct COM Port your Se Tool is set on. To set this go to Device Manager, and look under the section for Com & LPT Ports. Here you will see a com port number next to the words Serial Com. This will be the Port which you will need to select in Se Tools to make it work. :D
