nokia 5110 unlock help please

ok forgive me i,m a newby ...... i got the dct-3 nokia unlocker kit ..... connected a 5110 ............ and it doesn,t unlock...........
i,m using Eeprom tools software and get the following error reports:
" reason for contract service ppm checksum test failed .... please repair phone first"

also when i select "repair" i get error message "run time error 13 - type mismatch....

any help suggestions would be very welcome........... thanks

what windows version are you running, should be 98 for that software
