samsung a800 HELP PLZ (answered in FULL)

hi there
got samsung a800,
got downloaded easylink software,
got T100 datacable,
connected cable to computer,
connected cable to phone,
open software,
but keeps saying OFFLINE,
cannot download images to my phone,
WHAT AM I DOING WRONG.
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE CAN YOU HELP.

try it in this order.

launch software.

connect cable to pc

make sure phone has a valid sim card inserted and the phone has been turned on for at least 5 min. then connect it to the cable.

the software should regognise the phone within seconds.

if this fails try the above with the other comm port on your computer.

if this fails then you probably have the incorrect cable.

We can't get hold of any either :-(

i am the noob who has monged up his phone,i now have a black screen and the phone will not charge,is there any way of reversing this,i have taken all the pics and music that was originally added and for a while it seemed to be ok,many thanx in advance smithy :n00b:
