Data Cable or Download cable for Samsung T100 - Help

I have recently obtained a Samsung T100 and with it I got a PC cable clearly marked as a download cable. I found the Easysync software on the Samsung website that allows you to sync the phone with Outlook. However I can't get the PC to connect with the phone thru the sotware. It keeps saying that their is no phone connected. The help says that I need a data cable as opposed to the download cable as it says this won't work, but I can't find anyone who will admit that there is a different cable. Can anyone help? What am I doing wrong?

you need to use it with softmobile 2

Thank you for your answer, but I should have told you that I also downloaded SoftMobile for the T100 and that couldn't detect my phone either. I know that the download cable works OK as it works with the CD that came with the phone. Do you have any other ideas?

me too.... the program wont detect the phone, keeps saying no phone connected...... :evil:

make sure that ur serial ports are enabled i had the same prob
