Unlocking NEC 338

Hi

Has anybody any tips to unlock the 338. I have followed the unlocking instructions and now the phone will boot up with a 2g sim in, but the screen keeps going black and no operator logo/text will appear.

Any help appreciated

Have just checked my Software version and it is 3. I thinks its 4 and above which is unlockable.

read the maual, thats what it is there for guys

you cannot unlock version 4 models !

to unlock version 4 models you need to downgrade them, we have a pack to do this, but after the downgrade you need a software to repair them, unlock them, and re-write the riginal imei to them

The 338 I was trying to unlock was a version 3. The unlocking process seemed to work as the phone would boot up with a 2 g sim in but the screen would go black and the phone would hang. Maybe there is sometimes a problem with version 3's, anyway i have now given up on unlocking this phone as downgrading the software on this phone seems like too much trouble for such a rubbish phone.
