Hi Stuart,

sorry to hear you are having problems

un-install any easy studio software that you may have installed

reboot

install software for the D500 from the cd

connect up your phone power up with a valid sim card inserted

check device manager to see if you have any yellow question marks or exclamation marks. if you have double click them and select update driver. Make sure you have the cd inserted and let windows search and install them automatically

if you get a prompt saying the the drivers are untrusted, just select continue anyway.

once all drivers are installed launch easy studio goto settings under file and select highest com port

software should now find your phone

if you are still struggling, your cable could be damaged/faulty. return it to us for testing and possible replacement. include your receipt or copy of and a covering letter explaining the problem

That only happens when the install box comes up and it cannot find the appropriate driver - and it will say windwos could not find it. Then u will get the error massage. Try again on a different usb port and make sure u have the cd in when u do it.
