Strange fone

I bought a se t610 ( virgin mobile pay as you go) a long time ago and i was bored of it so i bought a sim-free nokia 6230 and put my virgin sim from the t610 into it and now my fone tells me i am on t-mobile network even if i there is amazing reception around

When i go to the menu where u can change ur network the only networks were t-mobile orange and o2

i tried the sim in my friends nokia 6260 and the same happened.

i can still make calls and text and use gprs and top it up with the number 789 via my credit card.

any help would be appreiciated

virgin mobile uses T-mobiles air space so virgin mobile is practucaly t-mobile with a different name and different tarrif.... it could be that the phones have older software and do not reconise virgin mobile as a network ?

i got the lastest nokia 6230 firmware 5.12 or suming lyke dat

it is still on virgin mobile it is just that tmobile are the same company who work for virgin.my does that too
