unlocking lg8120

Hi ya all, I don't know if anyone can't help me out here, I have bought my son a new mobile for xmas, and i've got his old one,(lg8120) but he is on 3 and i'm on Tesco mobile, i put my sim card in his and it excepted the pin code, but then come up usim locked, does this mean i have to stay on his network, or could i get it unlocked and then put my tesco sim card in. I don't want to change my number and server cos i'm happy with it. Many thanks

Just to say one thing: i realise you guys abbreviate fone fun shop to ffs, but since i use msn messenger this means something totally different: "For F****s Sake"!!
maybe you could change it to something else coz everytime i see it i think someone is pissed off !!
just a thought anyways.
