i have a motorola v635 and a usb data transfere cable, and loads of games/apps on my pc.
the problem i have is as follows:
When I conect my phone to my pc via usb cable, all i can see is the memory card, which contains folders for audio, video, pics but not games/apps... as far as i can see these need to be stored in the phones memory, not on the transflash card.
my question is how do i access the phones memory via usb cable, and where do i put the games/apps?

if you've got a memory card try dragging the .jar & .jad into the kjava folder... then install from phone.
other than that as you have a cable get motomidman (http://rapidshare.de/files/27862341/motomidman_beta2.zip.html) and it will install them for you... it uses the p2k drivers so PST installed would help... some use midway... but this method needs your Java Application Loader in your phones java settings (top of list if enabled) to be activated.
put both game files .jad/.jar into a folder and right click the .jar and send to phone via bluetooth...easier if previously paired up. no other software needed for XPsp2 but if you do use OBEX then remember to use OBJECT push and not file push
How to install Java games and apps
1. Go to Connectivity > USB settings and set them to "Memory card"
2. Connect your phone with the computer with cable and go to /mobile/kjava
3. Copy the jar file there and disconnect the phone from the cable
4. Go to Java Apps and Games and choose Menu > Switch Storage Device > TFlash card
5. Press one up (so you go to the very bottom) and choose "Install New App"
6. Choose the app and follow the instructions (they are simple)
7. Go to USB settings under connectivity, switch to Data/Fax mode and read the next note
After extract the files in a folder and open MotoMidMan.exe
After you are asked to install hardware using the wizard that pop's up.
Just locate the drivers that came in the folder under p2kdrivers.
Just keep installing for a series of wizards and then your phone will be detected and connected.
After you will know what to do when you are connected.
Just under phone memory click install,
Locate the jar file you want to install from and then it installs.
Always remember ,after installation of all midlets,
RESTART your phone. That's it
