Hello,

Just got the unlock cable, but my PC shows it as an unknown device and the software doesnt find the phone. It also needs a battery which is supposed to be 9 volt, but on the cable it says 3v only. Can someone help me please?
Thank You.

Also the drivers on the web site do not install as I have now tried this on 2 different XP PC's.

Hi Saaby, I also took delivery of an unlock cable this morning and experiencing problems.
I had an initial problem with the cable drivers on an XP machine trying to connect through a USB hub. I bypassed the hub and connected directly to a USB port in the back of my PC and this resolved the issue.

I have downloaded the server software to my PC and purchased a user name and password to enable me to connect and unlock my K750i, however the phone is not being recognised by the software. When I get to the stage where you need to press the power button on the phone mine just powers up as normal. I have checked I have specified the correct port and tried various settings but nothing happens.

I have tried the cable without power connected to the crocodile clips and with 3 volts DC from a bench power supply but am reluctant to try anything else incase I fry my phone.

Lets hope someone will be along shortly with the answers to our problems.

Ok Success at last. I have just managed to connect to the server and unlock my phone.

I deleted the multiserver software install from my PC and reinstalled from the downloaded zip file, set the COM port and ticked the DTR and CTS boxes. I also connected a 3 volt supply and it worked first time.

I think I must have confused something in the system with all the settings I had tried and a clean install seemed to do the trick.

Sounds like it all went well for you. I spoke to Fone Fun today and they were really helpful, but it looks like my cable is faulty. Therefore I have sent the phone to them for unlocking.

remember guys, you have to connect a 9v square radio battery, during any unlock or debrand if the cable has the connector on it for the battery

I have the same problem - XP is not liking the drivers Ive downloaded.

I have a cable ordered from this site. It was supposed to be the K750i cable but this one (which arrived today!) is a 2 peice cable with no battery attachment, like the cable that has the two attachments, only I just have the one.

What Im trying to do basically is take a new K750i and put the w800 software on it so I can get flight mode etc. As I undestand it I need to unlock, then debrand and then convert using 3 credits but so far Ive failed at the first hurdle

Can anyone help - Ive tried on 2 PCs and the result is the same

Thanks
A

when you install drivers for usb cables, the author of the drivers has not buttered bill gates alm with silver for a license. so you will get a prompt saying that it is potentially unsafe

ignore it and select continue anyway, this may be your problem

Thanks
The issue was solved by getting a new cable
