As of Wednesday 27/10/2010 you can no longer bypass activation using this sim.
The reason is that apple have blocked the testsim ID from itunes.
The solution is the OneSim which you can use along with a usb programmer and software to emulate the network your iPhone is locked to. This is the only way at the moment to bypass activation on iPhone without having the original sim

insert sim into iPhone, launch itunes, and connet iPhone to pc via cable
this will give your iPhone a "slide to unlock" screen instead of "slide for emergency"
The sim has now done its job

Remember to actually activate your iphone you obviously need a normal sim.
Once you have "slide to unlock" you can access to the menu on the phone and can use wifi and safari to jailbreak your phone.
once jailbroken you can then use cydia to add ultrasnow and unlock your iphone
once this is done you can use your desired sim in the phone and activation will then be made.
