Brief Description

How does it work?
You need latest Remote-Tools Version 1.0.0.32 from download section
and a Genie-Universal Server Account with at least 249 credits.
Simply connect your Genie-Universal to PC USB Port, enter your Username/Password
and press button "SL3 Request". Phone Information's will be read from phone and
submitted to the Server. After that you just need to wait for the code to be calculated.
You can check the status of your code calculation by pressing the "SL3 STATUS" Button.
Once your code-calculation started you will see the progress in percent, if there is
another calculation running already, you will see "idle" message.

Turnaround time for Codes:
Turnaround time depends how busy the Server is, could be done within few hours,
but could also take up to few days in case there are many requests pending.
PLEASE DO NOT SUBMIT A PHONE IF YOU DON'T HAVE TIME TO WAIT FOR THE UNLOCK-CODE!!

Applications

Genie can execute small programs, that we call applications. This is similar the way programs are run on a PC, Mac or PDA. Every application is stored on the SD card in the Programs directory and can be executed by selecting it in the Program Manager Menu and then clicking ‘Run’. The application will be loaded and the user will have the ability to control it, select required function - for example unlock or repair a phone, detect connected phone, read the phone information etc. When the application is no longer needed, the user can simply exit it and return to the Genie main menu.

As there are many applications available for Genie, and there will be much more added in near future, all of the applications are organized in directories based on the phone model supported - all Nokia applications are in folder called ‘Nokia’, all SE applications are in folder called ‘SE’ and so on.

We have some updates today, all being uploaded to the FTP right now.

1. New Genie Firmware:

Notes on this App: It is created to replace the 2 years old bb5notp.exe
There are some models not yet supported (PA_SL2, RAPIDO, new PM enc),
to be added in next version. SL3 phones save log file, to be uploaded to
our server for later processing. Some other cool features to be added
in following versions. SL3 hashes - 25xx and 47xx not yet supported also.
Logs will be saved to Files/Nokia in format xxxxxxx.sl3(where x - last 7 digits
of the phone imei). Logs are not yet supported by Remote Tools for upload


3. BB5Notp.exe

The good, old bb5notp.exe is no longer supported. It has done its work
during last 2 years, unlocking hundreds of thousands of bb5 phones.


How to update:

1. Wait 2-3 hours from the time of this post
2. Update your SD card contents to the latest files using the Genie Update
Client
3. Update your OS using USB cable and Remote Tools - 0.34
4. Enjoy

Please if you have devices for update - do not try to update using older
version of the OS ( 0.187 - 0.197), it will result in blue screen. In case you
do this - do not panick, just update your SD card and press Update in Remote
Tools.

Hi,
We have major update on many Genie components today.
Remote Tools:

- Support for SL3 data requests and status check. No
more need for separate executable for Beta testing
of SL3 Unlock, all is activated based on the user
server privileges
- User Name and Password boxes moved to the About menu.
The login credentials will be saved to the ini file

- RAP3 SL2 unlocking is completely free now, no need to keep 200 credits to be able to use it. Please feel free to use them for other services like RAPIDO SL2 or DCT4+ RPL
- Some quick fix on the 5800 unlock problem the code will be saved to the card. If you get success on unlock, but phone is still locked, please do not try to do it second time as this will eat another 50 credits. Just run the provided script to enter the
saved code again and unlock

install and read a desired lock from a phone. Save the lock to a file, then put simlock.bin in
