What is Firmware Upgrading?

At The Fone fun Shop, we have access to all the latest Firmware Files for your Mobile Phone.

Did you know that when most phones are released (especially Nokia's) that there are, on average at least 5 new firmware's released for your phone !!

Why Upgrade?

Like PC Software, manufacturers improve & patch the firmware in your mobile phone.  These patches improve the phones performance and correct bugs.

For example: Nokia N70's have Bluetooth problems in most early software versions, and loose connection intermittently.  A new firmware upgrade will fix this.

Press *#0000# on your nokia to view your current firmware version.

You can check your Nokia firmware version against the list below.  If the version listed for your model is higher, then you need a firmware upgrade

How much does it cost?

The cost to upgrade your firmware is £15 Per Phone including Recorded Special delivery back to your door !!!

Our turn around time for is QUICK !!!

We normally upgrade your phone the same day it arrives to us and in most cases we post it back to you the same day too! 

For example: You send your phone on Tuesday, you receive it back on Thursday

What do I Do To Get My Phone Upgraded ?

Step 1. Check the list below to see if an upgrade is available. if it is continue to step 2 below.

Step 2. Complete the Order Form, and an email containing your phone details will be emailed to you.

Step 3. Print out the email and fill in the required information, don't forget to sign it. (if you do not have a printer just write down the information we need on paper including your order number) 

Step4. mail the order form with your phone & payment made payable to FoneFunShop Ltd. to us at the address below.

Once we receive your phone it will be upgraded and returned via Royal Mail Special Delivery

We accept cheques, postal orders & Cash for this service.

How to pack your phone before sending it to us

-Take out your simcard and keep it safe, as this is not needed to repair your phone.

-Fully charge the battery and turn your phone off.

-Wrap your phone in bubble wrap or similar.

-Place wrapped phone in a jiffy bag, along with your completed and signed Order Form

-We recommend you send your phone special delivery, to ensure your phone is delivered and signed for by us safely.
